The Summer Academy is a six week program that is centered around a theme that brings together the science, math, and communication components of education in a fun and interesting way. Participants will go on field trips around the community to local industries, marine labs or even the beach to gather research for their projects. Students will not only gain information about the area of study but they also learn to work together in groups.

Students also participate in a counseling class, fall preparation class and a computer class that nicely compliments the academic portions of the program to provide well rounded experience for the students.
Near the end of the Summer Academy students are asked to demonstrate what they have learned in each of their classes by presenting their projects
