Governing Board Members

The Governing Board consists of five members elected for four-year terms by the residents of the five trustee areas created by the Monterey County Board of Education on August 11, 2008. Students are represented by the student trustee who is selected annually as part of the ASMPC elections.

Governing Board Goals for 2023-24 Academic Year

(Adopted July 26, 2023)

1. Develop an effective and collaborative working relationship with the new Superintendent/President.

2. Prioritize and support the College's efforts to achieve its Vision for Success Goals.

3. Prioritize and support Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, Anti-racism, and Accessibility (IDEAA) throughout the District.

4. Support policies and College actions that increase institution-wide efficiency to ensure the fiscal health and sustainability of the District.

5. Prioritize and support improving student access and increasing enrollment at all sites.

6. Participate in professional development opportunities to increase understanding of trustee roles and responsibilities to improve our effectiveness as a Board.

7. Develop stronger relationships in all Trustee Areas and regional communities.

 

Board Meeting Information  

Regular meetings of the Governing Board of Trustees are held once a month, on the fourth Wednesday, except for November (3rd Wednesday of the month) and December (2nd Wednesday of the month). Special meetings, including Board Study Sessions, are scheduled as needed. Board meetings are open to the public, with the exception of closed session.
