We know you have many options, and we appreciate your interest in MPC! Below is an overview of the resources we offer to help you earn your degree or certificate at Monterey Peninsula College while saving thousands of dollars.

MPC Promise

MPC Promise covers tuition and fees for first-time, full-time students (1st and 2nd year). 

MPC Cares

Students who enroll full-time (12+units) in Fall 2020 will receive a $500 MPC Cares Bonus

Scholarships

Students can apply each fall for hundreds of scholarships by completing ONE application online. The 2020-2021 Scholarship Application will open in December 2020 - please check your student email regularly and/or visit this page for updates.

Textbook Assistance

Several programs offer MPC students help with their textbooks, including EOPS, TRIO SSS, and CARE (for single parents). In addition, the MPC Library offers textbook check-out through Course Reserves.

Students can pick up textbooks, books, calculators at the entrance to the Sam Karas Room (LTC building, near the library entrance) during the following dates and times:

• August 10 - 21, Monday-Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m
• August 24 - September 4, Monday-Thursday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m
• Remaining Mondays and Wednesdays through December 11th from 10:00 a.m .- 4:00 p.m.

Be sure to bring your library card (or sign up for one before your arrival). Email library@mpc.edu for further assistance. 

Face coverings and social distancing are required when visiting the MPC campus to pick up books at the Library or for any other campus services.

Chromebooks & Internet

The MPC Library is pleased to announce a new Chromebook loan program for students. Currently enrolled MPC students can email library@mpc.edu or call (831) 646-4095 to check availability and reserve an available Chromebook. Borrowers must agree to the online terms.

• For questions regarding Chromebooks M-F 10:00am-4:00pm, please call the Library at (831) 646-4095, or use our live chat.
• For questions regarding Chromebooks, you can email the Library@mpc.edu, and we will respond within 1 business day.

Tutoring & Other Academic Support Services

MPC students have access to a wide variety of complimentary support services ranging from tutoring to job placement. Tutoring is available in a number of subjects, including English (reading, research, and writing), Math, Science, and more.
