"In March 2020, our in-person dance classes transitioned to an online format due to COVID-19. This concert celebrates our efforts to continue dancing as part of a virtual community. "

Monterey Peninsula College’s Dance Program is designed to provide students with a wide variety of dance experience and technique. The curriculum includes multi-leveled courses in Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom, Salsa and Middle Eastern Dance along with opportunities to choreograph and perform. Students may choose to pursue an Associate in Arts degree, or transfer to a four-year institution as a dance major.

MPC also serves students who are interested in exploring dance as part of a healthy lifestyle. Our instructors have extensive professional training and performance experience and are committed to creating an encouraging environment for all learners.

Registration is now open for MPC’s Fall semester (August 16 - December 11, 2020) with dance classes conducted online while COVID-19 Shelter-in-Place restrictions remain in effect.
