Crisis Hotline (24 hours)
YWCA Domestic Violence Crisis Line/Center: (831) 372-6300 or (831) 757-1001
Services include: assessing students with crisis’s in need of attention, referrals to a program/support group that fits student’s crisis, emergency shelter, primary focus is domestic violence cases and human trafficking. Counseling on domestic violence, restraining orders, legal advocate during court, moral support. Fees are one a sliding scale depending on client’s income and are only charged for counseling/therapy. RESTRAINING ORDERS HAVE NO CHARGE. Grants are offered if eligible under domestic victim, poverty, violent circumstances. Hotline 24 hours. Suicide Prevention/Crisis Line: 1-877-663-5433
Services include: free intervention in 160 different languages, assesses and can refer to other supportive organizations if needed, outreach presentations. 24 hour hotline.
California YOUTH Crisis: 1-800-843-5200
Services include: free services specializing in ages 12-24, supportive workers to talk to about depression, school problems, financial problems, counseling, shelter locations, and state wide referrals. 24 hour hotline.
(CHOMP) Mental Health Service: Inpatient (831) 625-4775 Outpatient (831) 625-4600 or 911
Services include: sponsored care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, student is seen in Emergency Room, assessed by a medical professional, if needed staff refers student to mental health agency.

Services include: basic/general counseling, 10 sessions at a reduced fee (based on gross income). 24 hour hotline. Office hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30a.m.-8:30p.m. and Friday 8:30a.m.-5:00p.m.
Safe Place (Collaborates with CHS) : 373-4421
Safe Place is a comprehensive program for at-risk runaway and homeless youth that provides everything from street outreach, survival aid and temporary shelter to counseling, family reunification and aftercare. Overnight shelter provides youth ages 18-24 with a place to spend the night seven (7) days a week. Check-in between 7PM-8PM. Weekly Meals: Thursdays Hot Lunch at 12:30 PM, Fridays Hot Breakfast at 9:00 AM.

The Monterey County Rape Crisis Center (MCRCC) is a nonprofit agency whose mission is to provide ongoing advocacy, support and healing for all victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking and child abuse; and to prevent sexual violence in our community through education.. Child Abuse Reporting Hotline: 755-4661 OR 1-800-606-6618

You can call the toll free number 1-888-258-6029, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and talk with a Behavioral Health team member who will provide a brief screening and then connect you to appropriate community resources, or schedule an appointment for a assessment with one of our therapists.

COUNSELING SERVICES
Alliance on Aging Senior Peer Counseling (free to seniors)
Bereavement: Services include: counseling, one-on-one support by a trained volunteer, support groups, individual workshop sessions (no schedule, contact Estelle at 831-649-7734, 3 months following loss. If support groups are not wanted, therapy with a MFT intern is available. No fees.
Adult, Hospice House: Services include support for a loss of a loved one.

Griefbusters:
Services provided are support for kids from a loss of a loved one. Primarily through schools were teachers are trained through Alliance to provide support. Parents are also offered a separate group meeting while their child is in meetings, therapy, etc. Call Eva at 831-649-7758

Services include: general counseling. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30a.m.-8:30p.m. Fees are based on a sliding scale.
Genesis House 1152 Sonoma, Seaside: 899-2436
Services include: rehabilitative living environment for 90 days for those in need of drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Fee includes $5.00/ day unless court or probation ordered. Client is able to work after 45 days to pay for living cost. No private insurance accepted. Call Sherry to get registered if client is not ordered by court/probation.

Mostly used for SSI, SSA, Medical/Medicaid patients.
Services include: counseling in behavior disorders such as schizophrenia, schizophrenia affective disorders, bipolar, etc and managed care such as depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), head injury, trauma, etc.

Planned Parenthood Teen Groups: 394-1691
Services include: reproductive services such as patient education on birth control methods, STD testing, pregnancy testing, etc. Office hours are Monday and Tuesday 8:00a.m.-6:30p.m. and Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00-5:00p.m.
Fees include donations, funding programs depending on income and family size. Usual payment is between $20.00-$50.00 if any is required. Donations highly appreciated.
