Are there any exceptions to the eligibility limitations?
You must speak with your EOPS counselor and explain the circumstances in order to determine whether or not you would be eligible for continued EOPS services.
Do I qualify for EOPS if I've already been in attendance at MPC?
EOPS status is a new upon first contact with the program. The six consecutive semesters begin when a student is first determined to be EOPS eligible. If there is a break in attendance, the student is considered new to EOPS and must re-qualify for eligibility.
Does an EOPS student have to enroll in 12 units each semester?
Continuing students do not have to be enrolled in 12 units. New EOPS students are required to be full time (12 units). Students in Supportive Services (Access Resource Center) have different full time requirements.
How long may I be an EOPS student?
Students are eligible for EOPS services until they reach 70 units and/or six consecutive semester limits (whichever comes first).
If I am not eligible for financial aid, can I still receive EOPS services?
If you are in EOPS and qualified for financial aid during the previous semester you can continue to receive EOPS benefits.
