The Excellence in Leadership Award is the highest honor given by CCC Chancellor's Office in Educational Technology. It recognizes extraordinary effectiveness, influence, statesmanship, and lifetime achievement within the field of higher educational technology management, on both individual campuses and the greater California Community College System.

Mike received this year's award on March 27, 2017 during the California Community College Chief Information Systems Officers Association (CISOA) and California Community College Banner Group (3CBG) 2017 annual conference. The conference offers educational sessions that address many of the current topics of interest to IT professionals in management, security, information systems and IT curriculum.
