Greetings all,

The San Diego Police Department is Hiring!  Join Our Team.  Total hiring process is 3 to 6 months.  We have 4 Police Academies a year, February, May, August, and October with about 50 Recruits attending each Academy.  College Graduates should apply 6-9 months prior to their graduation date.  Military Personnel should apply 6-9 months from EAS/ETS date.

San Diego Applicants:

Once the candidate applies, City Testing will contact the candidate within 2 to 3 weeks and schedule their written test date.

Out of Town Applicants:

If the candidate lives out of town (more than 100 miles away), and to save the candidate money/making multiple trips, their written test date will fall on a Friday.  The next day, Saturday, they will be scheduled to take their Physical Abilities Test and Pre-Investigative Questionnaire.
