As a reminder, PRIORITY Registration is granted to students who complete
Assessment & Placement, Orientation, and have an ED Plan.  

Plan accordingly!

Our guided placement questionnaires for English, English as a Second Language, and math courses are all available online.  If you do not have access to a computer, or if you prefer, you can make an appointment to complete the guided placement tools with our office.

English Assessment (Current MPC Students Only!)

This Assessment is for current MPC students that wish to take an English class at MPC, or a class that has English as a prerequisite.  Students wishing to take the English Only assessment may also make an appointment for an English & Math assessment date. (You cannot take Math Only on those days.)

The English Assessment (CTEP) is divided into two parts - a reading comprehension and a written essay.  A topic will be provided for the essay.  Placement into reading and writing classes will be based on your assessment results.

NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED: ARRIVE 30 MIN BEFORE TEST

  • Allow 2 hrs for English test
  • No Late Seating; First Come-First Serve
  • One-Day Parking Permit $2
  • Present ANY valid Photo ID
  • Know your MPC Student ID Number
