Commander Bruno Dias, Seaside Police Department. Commander Dias is the former commander for the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team, PRVNT, and is currently assigned to oversee the Seaside Police Department patrol division.

Commander Dias is a 13 year veteran of the Seaside Police Department, serving as an Officer, Training Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Detective Sergeant and now Commander. Commander Dias also supervised the Monterey Peninsula Regional Special Response Unit SWAT team.

Commander Dias has earned his Bachelor and Master’s degree, both while working full time with Seaside P.D.

Commander Dias is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, where only elite law enforcement professionals, from around the world are invited to attend by the FBI.

Among his many awards and commendations, Commander Dias has received a Medal of Valor and he has been recognized as the Officer of Year by Seaside P.D., Monterey County Officer of the Year and recently received the Northern California Outstanding Commander of the Year, as the Commander of PRVNT.
