Educational Building Workshops for New Students!

Educational Building Workshops (or Schedule Building Workshops) provide new students with MPC or transfer education pattern information, introduces new terminology and assists with establishing a student schedule. At this workshop, new students develop an understanding of their Assessment results and how to recognize and plan for prerequisite and other courses that ultimately contribute to their success and educational goals. New students also learn how to register for courses and identify their registration date.

Educational Planning Workshops are held periodically throughout the semester and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis with limited seating.

In-Person Orientation for New Students

As a new Lobo, In-Person Orientations help ease the transition into college as well as prepare students for their new journey. These sessions provide new students with a face-to-face Orientation that includes an overview of all of the important information needed to be successful at MPC.

Topics covered in the In-Person Orientation include:

  • Steps to success
  • Campus support resources
  • Financial aid
  • Getting involved on campus

Spots for an In-Person Orientation are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you submit your form, you will receive a confirmation email from our Outreach Team.
