Experiences with children and families can be deepened when we consider them from a variety of perspectives - including those of a child, educator, parent, community member or administrator. Presentations from First 5 Monterey County (F5MC) funded programs will share their work engaging with children and families. Each session will include time to reflect on the experiences through multiple viewpoints. This process can help us to learn more about our own perceptions, construct new meaning and open our minds to new ways of thinking about and enjoying our work and play. Please join us!

- encounters with a peach tree
- engaging parents with loose-parts
- creative and inexpensive materials
- strategies for mindfulness and self-care
- exploring emotions through children’s books
- being with children on the Circle of Security
- drawing and writing
- connecting parents with children’s work
- engaging outdoor learning environments
- super-hero play
- supporting children on their search for identity
- everyday strategies for documentation
- exploring blocks – lots of blocks
This seminar is FREE* with lunch and incentive.

*Out of county registrations will be accepted if space is available, and charged a $35 registration fee. Cash or check accepted at the event
